The Utah Sports Commission is a proud partner of the 2019 FIS Freestyle, Skiing and Snowboard World Championships.

The Utah Sports Commission was organized in 1999 to be a catalyst in creating a sports and Olympic legacy after the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.  The organization focuses on sports development to grow Utah’s economy, leverage the state’s world-class sports assets and enhance Utah’s position in the global sports marketplace.

The organization acts as a facilitator, catalyst, coordinator, ombudsman, salesman, cheerleader or any other role that might be helpful or necessary to assist the various sports related organizations and facilities in attracting events, revenue, athlete development opportunities, and positive exposure to the state of Utah.

As the world experienced first-hand during the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, and Utah's hosting numerous world cups and world championships over the past 15 years, sports are a key part of Utah's diverse landscape.  We continue to build on the success of our sport and Olympic legacy, and have been committed partners with U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association, Deer Valley Resort, Solitude Resort and Park City Resort and look forward to hosting the 2019 FIS Freestyle, Skiing and Snowboard World Championships with these world-class resorts and partners.
